San Gabriel, CA — May 29, 2026 —Humane Officers from Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A. (IVHS) are on scene at the 10000 block of Fairview Avenue in Temple City for a dog hoarding call. Officers from San Gabriel Valley Humane Society (SGVHS) originally responded to a call to assess animal welfare and excess number of allowable pets and was working with the pet owner to come into compliance with city limits for dogs.
The owner has agreed to do what is best for the dogs and is relinquishing ownership of all of them. The dogs will be given medical and behavioral assessments and evaluated for adoption.
IVHS and SGVHS urges the public to seek help if you or someone you know has too many pets to care for responsibly. When shelters face large surges of pets coming in at once, it strains resources and capacity for care.
Anyone interested in supporting, can donate or adopt to help make space. Please call or visit our website to make a donation, or go online to view adoptable pets in our care currently.
