The Well-being of Animals in Our Communities IS MOST IMPORTANT
In the United States, there are 6 to 8 million homeless animals that enter animal shelters every year, and due to overpopulation less than half of these animals are able to find their forever homes. By spaying and neutering your pet you are helping to limit the influx of homeless animals by providing a permanent, effective method of birth control for your pet.
why should you spay or neuter your pet?
Spaying or neutering your pet can help reduce behaviors like roaming, urine marking, and aggression that are often driven by hormones. Pets who roam are more likely to become lost, injured, or get into fights with other animals. In cats especially, spraying and marking behaviors can often be prevented by spaying or neutering before 5 months of age.
These procedures can also help your pet live a healthier, longer life by reducing the risk of certain cancers and serious infections. Spaying and neutering also helps prevent unwanted litters and supports a healthier community for pets.
Spay and Neuter Prices
Microchipping is not required, but we highly recommend it for all pets, as it greatly increases the chances of being reunited if your pet is ever lost. Microchips are available for $25.
**Certain brachycephalic breeds—such as Bulldogs, French Bulldogs, Boxers, Shih Tzus, and Persians—may require additional injections and medications due to the increased risks associated with their surgeries. As a result, an extra charge will apply. Additionally, some breeds are more prone to surgical risks and may require a separate pre-surgical community clinic exam to ensure their safety and well-being.
