PLAN FOR YOUR PET’S FUTURE
Pets are family and planning for their future, should you pass away, is one of the best things you can do for them. Through the Take Comfort Program, we help you create and implement long-term plans for your pet(s)*. The process is easy and you will feel peace of mind knowing they will be cared for until their last days.
* Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A. cannot guarantee placement of animals whose owners have not made prior arrangements with our Fund Development Department.
how does the program work?
Should your pets outlive you, we will guarantee a home for them. If an animal is not healthy and is able to be reasonably treated, we will treat the animal with funds from the program. The program is funded through a gift in the amount of $10,000 per pet (either through your will/trust or by making a current gift). We will monitor and follow up to make certain that your pet is in a good environment, responding well to their new home, and provide veterinary care post adoption.
how do my pets qualify?
To qualify for the program, your pet must be free of terminal conditions that could affect the health of other animals and you must make arrangements to include the Take Comfort Program in your estate document. This provision provides the funding necessary to support this program. If an enrolled pet should pass away before this arrangement takes effect, another animal can be enrolled in their place but another enrollment form must be submitted to us.
