My Story
**I'M CURRENTLY IN FOSTER CARE, BUT I'M STILL AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! TO INQUIRE, PLEASE CONTACT THE ADOPTION CENTER. Email: [email protected] ** Approximate weight: 39 lbs. Hi, I'm Ambrosia! I'm a beautiful, spirited husky with a bold personality. I'm still learning my manners, especially around other dogs. I'd do best with an experienced dog owner who understands huskies and is excited to help me build confidence and polish my skills. Tug is my absolute favorite game, and yes, I do have a very enthusiastic play growl. After a good romp in the yard and a satisfying game of tug, I settle nicely in the house. I love toys and chews and can entertain myself by picking favorites out of my toy basket. Sometimes I try to steal socks or gardening gloves to get you to play with me, so my foster mom is teaching me "drop it," and I'm getting pretty good at that. I'm a fast learner and I already know "sit," "touch," and "wait," and I'm learning "place." I'm friendly meeting new people. When I'm super happy or excited, I might jump up to say hello, but I'm working hard on keeping all four paws on the ground. I might also mistake your hand for a toy on occasion, so I'll need reminders to be gentle. At night I sleep in my crate. I'm not a big fan of it yet, but I'm getting used to the routine. I mostly go potty outside and have only had a few accidents in the house. I get very happy when I see the leash come out, but I'm still a little nervous walking in the neighborhood. I do well seeing other dogs and people, but cars are scary for me right now. I'm looking for someone who understands my energy and my intelligence and can help me build confidence. With the right person by my side, I know I'll grow into an incredible lifelong companion.
