Pomona, CA — May 1, 2026 —Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A. (IVHS) is proud to announce that it will begin providing animal care and control services for the Cities of Azusa and Baldwin Park, effective July 1, 2026. These services will transition from the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control.
Through this new partnership, IVHS will deliver comprehensive animal care and control services to both communities, including, but not limited to:
- Stray animal response and pickup
- Public safety response (injured, aggressive, at-large animals)
- Deceased animal pickup
- Animal cruelty investigations (State-authorized Humane Officers)
- Emergency response
- Wildlife Assistance
Animals from Azusa and Baldwin Park will be cared for at IVHS’ main shelter campus located in Pomona.

The organization remains committed to promoting humane treatment, responsible pet ownership, and public safety throughout the communities it serves.
Residents of Azusa and Baldwin Park will begin contacting IVHS for all animal-related service requests starting July 1, 2026.
