Pomona, CA — The Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A. (IVHS) is preparing for the transition of animal care and control services for the cities of Chino, Montclair and Ontario to the Animal Resource Center (ARC) of the Inland Empire. IVHS and the ARC staff are working together to ensure a smooth transition for pets and pet owners beginning mid-June, with the migration of data, pets and services anticipated to be complete July 1, 2025.
As a trusted community partner for over 75 years, IVHS remains steadfast in its mission to promote humane treatment, responsible pet ownership and the well-being of domestic animals and wildlife. While our direct service relationship with Chino, Montclair, and Ontario is changing, IVHS will work closely with the ARC to ensure continued compassionate care for animals during this transition.
“We are proud of the work we’ve done on behalf of the animals in these communities and look forward to seeing the ARC build upon our success in the reduction of stray pets, unwanted litters and access to affordable veterinary care,” said Nikole Bresciani, President/CEO of IVHS. “Our organization has served these communities for over 30 years, and in that time have cared for over 300,000 animals, improving live release rates and quality of life for local pets and pet owners.”
Services to IVHS’ remaining City partners and communities will not be affected by this transition. IVHS will continue providing full animal care and control services, community outreach and low-cost veterinary care to the cities of Chino Hills, Claremont, Covina, Diamond Bar, Glendora, La Verne, Pomona, San Dimas, and sheltering services for La Habra.
IVHS remains committed to serving animals and communities with compassion and care. For more information about IVHS and its programs and services, please visit www.ivhsspca.org.
