The Inland Valley Humane Society & SPCA along with Pet Connections Inc. has received a grant to host The Big Meow. The Big Meow is a no-cost, spay/neuter program for owned, free-roaming, outdoor domesticated cats, in an effort to reduce the problem of cat overpopulation in our full service cities.
To participate in this event, cat owners must make an appointment by visiting the Inland Valley Humane Society & S.P.C.A. 500 Humane Way, Pomona, CA 91766. Appointments are limited to the first 300 cats, limit 3 per household. Cats must be between the ages of four months and seven years, and owners must provide proof of residency. (Appointments available are Monday - Friday excluding Wednesday) Each cat will not only be spayed or neutered, free of charge, but each cat will also be micro-chipped, receive a free application of Frontline for flea and tick control, and free vaccinations including FVRCP and rabies, to bring each cat current on immunizations. The Big Meow is open to residents of the following cities: Chino, Chino Hills, Claremont, Diamond Bar, La Verne, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona, San Dimas, and the unincorporated areas of San Bernardino County including West End, San Antonio Heights, and Mt. Baldy. (Must have proof of residency) Do you know anyone who has an outdoor cat that hasn't been spayed or neutered? Please pass this information along to any neighbors, friends, family, or co-workers! |
